Crowns: Crown of Righteousness

Crowns: Crown of Righteousness

May 16, 2025

A prize is promised to all who love the Lord and long for His appearing.
It is not earned through good deeds, but is a gift from God, given to those who have trusted in Him. It represents the final reward and victory for those who have faithfully lived for Christ.

2 Timothy 4:8 The victor's crown of righteousness is now waiting for me, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on the day that He comes, and not only to me but also to all who eagerly await His appearing.

The crown of righteousness was purchased by the righteousness of Jesus Christ. This crown is not for those who rely on their own sense of righteousness or their own actions. Such an attitude fosters arrogance and pride, rather than a deep longing to be with the Lord.

1 John 3:3 - Everyone who has this hope based on Him keeps himself pure, just as the Messiah is pure.

What could diminish our interest in the Lord or trouble us in our remaining time? Following the trends of the day and pursuing selfish desires can lead us astray.

Live day by day as one expecting the early return of your Lord.
