A prize is promised to all who love the Lor d and long for His appearing.
\nIt is not earned through good deeds\, but is a gift from God\, given to those who have trusted in Him. It repre sents the final reward and victory for those who have faithfully lived for Christ.

2 Timothy 4:8 The victor's crown of righteousness is now waiting for me\, which the Lord\, the righteous Judge\, will give to me on the day that He comes\, and not only to me but also to all who eagerly aw ait His appearing.

The crown of righteousness was purchased by the righteousness of Jesus Christ. This crown is not for those who rely on th eir own sense of righteousness or their own actions. Such an attitude fost ers arrogance and pride\, rather than a deep longing to be with the Lord.
