Acceptance
Ephesians 1:6 To the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
Rejection is the feeling of being denied acceptance or approval by others. It often leads to a deep sense of being unwanted and can leave lasting emotional scars, whether we recognize them or not.
Proverbs 15:13 A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit.
Proverbs 18:14 A man’s spirit sustains him in sickness, but a crushed spirit who can bear?
God can heal us from the wounds of rejection! He understands our struggles with rejection, so don’t lose hope. God desires to mend your wounds.
Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.
Matthew 9:36 describes how Jesus feels toward those who struggle with feelings of rejection:
When He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them.
Why was Jesus so moved?
…because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.
Weary, worried, frustrated, confused, fearful, anxious, burdened – do any of these words describe how you’re feeling? Jesus sees you just as He saw those multitudes, and He has deep compassion for you. He longs to heal you where you hurt the most.
