April 28, 2025(1 event) April 28, 2025 ![]() Colossians 2:1-4 For I want you to know how much I struggle for you, for those in Laodicea, and for all who have never seen me face to face. Because they are united in love, I pray that their hearts may be encouraged by all the riches that come from a complete understanding of the full knowledge of the Messiah, who is the mystery of God. In Him are stored all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. I say this so that no one will mislead you with nice-sounding rhetoric, For although I am physically absent, I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see how stable you are and how firm your faith in the Messiah is. Paul was obviously passionate to keep his readers centered on the treasure that is Jesus Christ. Both knowledge and faith enrich the soul which thrives when we embrace the truth found in Him. The stronger our faith and the warmer our love, the greater our comfort will be. The treasures of wisdom are not hidden from us, but rather for us, in Jesus Christ. "All the treasures" All! There is no need to look elsewhere, investigating human systems and philosophies, for an illumination of the mystery of the universe and the relations of the Creator and His creations. Jesus Christ, who is all-sufficient, embodies all wisdom and knowledge. Further Study: Treasures hidden in Christ are wisdom and knowledge for the redemption and reconciliation of man. |
April 29, 2025(1 event) April 29, 2025 ![]() Colossians 2:6-7 So then, just as you have received the Messiah Jesus the Lord, continue to live dependent on Him. For you have been rooted in Him and are being built up and strengthened in the faith, just as you were taught, while you continue to be thankful. Live dependent on Him. You are rooted in Him and built up and strengthened in the faith. Depend on God for Wisdom: James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to everyone generously without a rebuke, and it will be given to him. Depend on God for Everything - Proverbs 3:5- 6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not depend on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Depend on God for a fortress and deliverer - Psalm 18:2 The Lord is my rock, my fortress, my deliverer, my God, my stronghold in whom I take refuge, my shield, the glory of my salvation, and my high tower. Depend on God for power, promises, and provision. Pray and present your requests to God - Philippians 4:6 Never worry about anything. Instead, in every situation, let your petitions be made known to God through prayers and requests, with thanksgiving. Depend on God for Guidance -Listen to what God says in His Word - Acts 17:11 These people were more receptive than those in Thessalonica. They were very willing to receive the message, and every day, they carefully examined the Scriptures to see those things were so. Psalm 85:8 Let me listen to what God, the Lord, says; for the Lord will promise peace to His people, to His holy ones; may they not return to foolishness. Live for the Lord - Romans 12:1 Given God's mercies, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices that are holy and pleasing to God, for this is the reasonable way for you to worship. 2 Corinthians 12:10: that is why I take such pleasure in weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and difficulties for the Messiah's sake, for when I am weak, then I am strong. Dwell with God: John 15:4 Abide in Me, and I will abide in you. Just as the branch cannot produce fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in Me. Knowing you have someone to trust and depend on will calm your spirit. Cast all your cares - personal, family, present, and future, for yourself and others - Cast all your cares on God. Matthew 6:33 Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all of these things will be provided for you as well. 1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you. |

May 2, 2025(1 event) May 2, 2025 ![]() Matthew 13:45-46 The kingdom from Heaven is like a merchant searching for fine pearls. When he found a very valuable pearl, he went and sold everything he had and bought it. What would you give for eternal life in the kingdom of Heaven? The merchant stopped searching for pearls when he found one at a great price. In the same way, eternal life, the incorruptible inheritance, and the love of God through Jesus Christ are treasures that make further searching unnecessary. Christ fulfills our deepest needs, cleanses us, calms our hearts, and offers hope for the future. The "great price" refers to Jesus Christ's sacrifice for our redemption. He humbled Himself, took on human form, and shed His precious blood on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins.A |

May 4, 2025(1 event) May 4, 2025 ![]() John 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that comes to Me shall never hunger; and he that believes on Me shall never thirst. God sent food from heaven, called manna, to sustain those wandering in the desert. Now, He provides the true Bread for the salvation of our souls. Coming to Jesus and believing in Him is akin to this sustenance. Christ identifies Himself as the true Bread: He nourishes and supports our spiritual lives just as bread nourishes the body. He is the Bread of God—the bread given by the Father, meant to be the food for our souls. While ordinary bread is sustained only by the powers of a living body, Christ is the living Bread who nourishes us by His divine power. The teaching of Christ crucified remains as strengthening and comforting to believers as ever. He is the Bread that came down from heaven, highlighting both the divinity of His person and the divine source of all the good that flows to us through Him. With understanding and sincerity, may we earnestly say, "Lord, forever give us this daily Bread." |
May 5, 2025(1 event) May 5, 2025 ![]() John 8:12 Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. The one who follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life." Jesus here compares Himself, in effect, to the sun. Physically speaking, the sun is the life and light of the world. Jesus Christ created the sun and even now sustains its life-giving radiation. Consider the deep prophetic significance of Christ's claim. It is a powerful assertion of His omnipotent deity, and it does not come across as arrogant or extravagant, which would be the case if it were spoken by any other person. Instead, it has been shown to be prophetically true for 2,000 years. Hebrews 1:3 He is the reflection of God's glory and the exact likeness of His being, and He holds everything together by His powerful word. After He had provided a cleansing from sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Highest Majesty. 1 Peter 2:21 This is, in fact, what you were called to do because the Messiah also suffered for you and left an example for you to follow in His steps. The believer's spiritual " walk " means to follow Jesus' steps. Colossians 2:6 So then, just as you have received the Messiah Jesus the Lord, continue to live dependent on Him. In the Old Testament, the first such references are when Enoch, then Noah, "Walked with God" (Gen 5:24; 6:9). Walk with God In wisdom - Colossians 4:5 Behave wisely toward outsiders, making the best use of your time. In love - Ephesians 5:2 lives lovingly, just as the Messiah also loved us and gave himself for us as an offering and sacrifice, a fragrant aroma to God. In newness of life - Romans 6:4 Therefore, through baptism we were buried with Him into His death so that, just as the Messiah was raised from the dead by the Father's glory, we too may live an entirely new life. In the Spirit - Galatians 5:16 So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will never fulfill the desires of the flesh. In truth, 3 John 4 I have no greater joy than hearing that my children live according to the truth. In good works - Ephesians 2:10 For we are God's masterpiece, created in the Messiah Jesus to perform good actions that God prepared long ago to be our way of life. Jesus has been the light of the world, serving as the inspiration for some of the most incredible music and art, as well as for dedicated hospitals and missions. He has influenced significant nations and governments throughout history. Additionally, millions of individuals who have followed Him testify that He has been the light of their lives, guiding them to walk in light rather than darkness. |
May 6, 2025(1 event) May 6, 2025 ![]() John 10:11-15 I am the Good Shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. The hired worker, who is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming, deserts the sheep, and runs away. So the wolf snatches them and scatters them, because he is a hired worker, and he sheep don't matter to him. John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by Me. Psalm 23: A Psalm most loved but least believed. The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. Do you believe it? Do believe that you shall not want for: refreshement restoration guidance companionship provision satisfaction goodness and mercy a home at last The Good Shepherd has undertaken to see us through. You may have heard a little incident told by Dr. Piazzi Smith. On one occasion, he saw a shepherd leading his flock up the hill. He led them into the fold and made them comfortable. Then Dr. Smith said, "Do you leave the sheep in this fold all night?" "Yes." "But aren't there wild beasts around?" "Yes." "Won't they try to get the sheep?" "Yes." "Well, you have no door here. How can you keep the wild beasts out?" But the Arab shepherd lay down on his side, and as he settled himself in that entryway, he looked up and smiled and said, "I am the door." You see, no wild beast could enter without awakening him, and no sheep would go out over his body. |
May 7, 2025(1 event) May 7, 2025 ![]() John 10:7-10 So again Jesus said, "Truly, I tell all of you emphatically, I am the gate for the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and bandits, but the sheep didn't listen to them. I am the Door of the sheep. If anyone enters through me, he will come in and go out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal, slaughter, and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly. Jesus Christ is the Door. What greater security do believers have than knowing that the Lord Jesus stands between them and all their enemies? He is a door that opens for passage and communication. Here are clear directions on how to enter the fold: we must come in through Jesus Christ, who is the Door, by placing our faith in Him as the great Mediator between God and humanity. Additionally, there are precious promises for those who follow this guidance. Christ takes all the care of His church and every believer, just as a good shepherd cares for his flock. He expects the church and each believer to rely on Him and remain within His pasture. |
May 8, 2025(1 event) May 8, 2025 ![]() John 11:25 Jesus told her (Martha), "I am the Resurrection and the life. The person who believes in me, even though he dies, will live. Indeed, everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe that?" A startling reply which is not just a doctrine of future events, but present realities in Jesus Himself. Our Lord Jesus declared Himself to be the Resurrection and the Life. He is, in every sense, the Resurrection—the source, the substance, the firstfruits, and the cause of it. The redeemed soul lives on in happiness after death; when the Resurrection occurs, both body and soul are kept from all evil forever. When we read or hear the words of Jesus Christ about the wonderful truths of the afterlife, we should ask ourselves: Do we truly believe this? The challenges and comforts of this present time would have less impact on us if we believed in the realities of eternity as we should. Jesus calls for us. He reaches out to us through His word, inviting us to Him. Those who, in times of peace, sit at His feet to learn from Him may, with confidence, come to Him in times of trouble to seek His comfort. You do not have to wait until the Resurrection on the last day. Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life; when He comes on the scene, death is at an end. |
