Why Pray?

Why Pray?

November 22, 2024

Why Pray? You might as well ask, "Why breathe," or "Why eat,?" Destiny decrees that I should pray so I will pray. Destiny decrees that I will be answered therefore the answer will come to me.

Psalm 5:3 Lord, in the morning You will hear my voice; in the morning I will pray to You and I will watch for Your answer.

Luke 11:9-10 So I say to you: Keep asking, and it will be given you. Keep searching and you will find. Keep knocking, and the door will be opened for you. Because everyone who keeps asking will receive, and the person who keeps knocking will have the door opened.

So you come to the Lord in prayer first thing in the morning and He asks you, just as He asked Elijah (1 Kings 19:9)
"What are you doing here?" or just as Jesus asks, "What did you go out in the wilderness to see?" (Matthew 11:7)

Isaiah 50:4 The Lord God has given me a learned tongue, so that I may know how to sustain the weary with words. And morning after morning He wakens me and He wakens my ear to listen like those who are being taught.

Psalm 55:17 Morning, noon, and night, I mulled over these things and cried out in my distress, and He heard my voice.

Psalm 119:164 I praise You seven times a day because of your righteous ordinances.

Psalm 19:14 May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

The throne of grace is always open, and you are always welcome. You can be sure your prayer is heard so pray in the assurance of it, in assurance of faith, that wherever God finds a praying heart, He will be found a hearer of the pray-er.
