True Faith to Live By

2 Corinthians 5:15 and that He died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto Him which died for them, and rose again.

If Jesus Christ had not died, all would be lost and undone, ruined slaves to sin, having no power to deliver themselves.
A Christian's life should be devoted to Jesus the Messiah instead of living to themselves and the world.

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Those who have true faith live by that faith, and faith fastens upon Christ's giving Himself for us. He loved me and gave Himself for me. The more simply the believer relies on Jesus for everything, the more devotedly he walks before Him in all His Word.

Faith in the Son of God works by love, causes obedience, and changes into His holy image. God's grace is, therefore, not abused or made in vain.

An Exhortation to Cease from Sin by the Example of Jesus Christ

1 Peter 4:1-2 Therefore, since the Messiah suffered in a mortal body, you, too, must arm yourselves with the same determination, because the person who has suffered in a mortal body has stopped sinning, so that he can live the rest of his mortal life guided, not by human desires, but by the will of God.

A true conversion makes a remarkable change in the heart and life. It alters the mind, judgment, affections, and conversation. When one is truly converted, it is very grievous to him to think how the time past of his life has been spent. One sin draws on another.

Be quickened to the Divine life by the Holy Spirit and live to God as His devoted servant.
