Meekness Defined

Meekness or gentleness of spirit does not mean weakness but rather humbleness and thankfulness toward God. It is polite restrained behavior toward others, as opposed to being angry, vengeful and narcissistic.
Meekness is  a peaceful and calm spirit that does not fear during the storms of life.

The meek are confident in the Word of God and His faithfulness
Proverbs 3:26; 14:26; Psalm 119:165; Jer. 17:7-8
The meek are able to control their anger and emotions and keep their passions under control
Proverbs 16:32
The meek hold fast to peace leaving vengeance to the Lord
Romans 12:18-19; Colossians 3:1-17; 1 Peter 4:19
The meek are composed in mind and spirit, not blown about by every wind of deception or unjust suffering.  Instead, they exalt the Messiah as Lord of their lives knowing that He is and always will be the same gracious heavenly Father.

The meek take every thought captive and keep their minds focused on true, honorable, fair, pure acceptable and commendable things.  The peace of God will be with them

The meek are able to walk through controversy with a spiritual mind to restore others gently.

The meek are under control with a calm spirit, therefore they have knowledge and understanding.  They do not allow their passions to master them.

The meek respond carefully and do not react emotionally

The meek respond to emotions ruled by the Holy Spirit - (Fruit of the Spirit) - with a gracious attitude being known to all around them.

    Be still and know that He is God therefore trust in Him and be at peace
