Isaiah - A Firmly Established Word

Isaiah - A Firmly Established Word

July 31, 2025

Yesterday's book review of Isaiah barely touched on the implications and effects that it has had on my own life. So many times I have turned to the pages of this book for comfort, edification, and encouragement to keep going. I could spend many days sharing all of these lessons, but I need to continue with reviews of *all* the books remaining to be reviewed.
But I must take one more day to share the Beauty of this particular special Word.

Isaiah 55:10-11 Just as the rain and snow come down from heaven, and do not return there without watering the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, yielding seed for the sower and bread for eating. So will My message be that goes out of My mouth - it will not return unto Me void (empty). Instead, it will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Psalm 119:89 Your Word is forever, Lord; It is firmly established in heaven.

Psalm 42:1-2 As an antelope pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for You, God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When may I come and appear in God's presence?

To me, God's word represents His presence. I know where to find Him. I know where to hear His voice. Communion with God is an urgent need of my soul. I thirst for the living water only the living God can provide. His constant fountain of life, light, and love is my soul's desire.

Psalm 42:5 Hope in God!

In the morning after a dark and troubled night, I seek His face (presence) and to be seen by Him - in His presence, my thirst will be satisfied and I will have fullness of joy.

His Words put scorn to my laughing enemies. I desire with all my heart for joy to be restored, for chains to be removed, and prison walls shaken.

Hope then in God! Seek His presence and be restored. Sow in your heart His words and grow a garden of laurels for future victories, roses for coming joy, lilies for approaching peace. C. Spurgeon

I will immerse myself in this living water, God's Word. I will find Him there, waiting for me with open arms. I will find peace, comfort, and rest in His safe haven and abide with Him forever.
