Humility

John 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

In Pilgrim’s Progress, the Valley of Humiliation is a peaceful, abundant land.

“This Valley of Humiliation…is the best and most useful brave piece of ground in all those parts. It is fat ground, and consisteth much in meadows…Behold how green this Valley is, also how beautified with lilies (Song 2:1). I have also known many labouring men that have got good estates in this Valley of Humiliation…for indeed it is a very fruitful soil. And doth bring forth by handfuls.”

Ephesians 4:2 Live in a way that is worthy of the calling to which you have been called, demonstrating all expressions of humility, gentleness, and patience, accepting one another in love.

1 Peter 3:8  Finally, all of you must live in harmony, be sympathetic, love as brothers, and be compassionate and humble.

1 Peter 5:6 Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that at the proper time He may exalt you.

Focus your gaze on eternity to better embrace humility on earth.
