\nJoshua believed in God's power and willingness to bring H is power to bear on behalf of His people. He knew that nothing was too har d for God. If God had chosen him to be the one to succeed Moses and lead H is people\, then that was what God was going to do.
\nJoshua al so believed in God's promises. He knew that God had promised his forefathe r\, Abraham\, that he and his descendants would occupy the land. (Genesis 12:1-2 and 13:15)

\nJoshua believed that God was all-powerful\, kept His promises\, and would be with him personally. Jesus promises this to us today:

\nThe book of Joshua tells us how to be victorious so ldiers and how to claim our rich spiritual inheritance in Jesus Christ. It teaches us how to be strong and courageous as we face our enemies and mov e forward to claim our own inheritance from the Lord.
