 and the Word was with God\, and the Word was God. The same was in the begi
 nning with God. All things were made by Him\, and without Him was not anyt
 hing made that was made. In Him was life\, and the life was the Light of m
 en. And the Light shines in darkness\, and the darkness comprehended it no
 t.</p>\n<p>In these verses\, John is calling the Son of God \"The Word.\" 
 Just as we explain what we are thinking in our minds to others\, the Son o
 f God was sent to reveal His Father's mind to the world. He is life\, He i
 s light\, and He is eternal. Reason and sense are derived from Him and dep
 end upon Him. The Word shines true Light into darkness\, and the darkness 
 can never put out this Light.</p>\n<p>The late Chuck Missler said\, \"We h
 ave in our possession an Integrated Message System: 66 separate books penn
 ed by 40 different individuals over two thousand years... in which every d
 etail is anticipated by deliberate\, skillful design!\"</p>\n<p>In my life
 \, I have chosen to follow *this* Word as my guidebook to life. I have fol
 lowed the Berean Challenge\, which is stated in Acts 17:11<br />\nThese we
 re more noble than those in Thessalonica in that they received the Word wi
 th all readiness of mind and searched the scriptures daily to prove whethe
 r those things were so.</p>\n<p>The challenge here is to eliminate any bag
 gage of misconceptions and disinformation\, as well as to remove presuppos
 itions that may be incorrect.<br />\nTherefore\, search the scriptures\, f
 or they are the only reliable source of the absolute truth. To search mean
 s to investigate\, examine\, enquire into\, scrutinize\, sift\, and questi
 on\, specifically in the forensic sense of a judge to hold an investigatio
 n\; to judge\, estimate\, and determine (the excellence or defects) of any
  person or thing.</p>\n<p>*You* search the scriptures. Don't assume what s
 omeone has told you is the truth. See for yourself. Have a \"readiness of 
 mind...\" by putting away misconceptions and prejudices from inaccuracies 
 and distortions about \"Reality\" and \"science.\"</p>\n<p>Let us pray wit
 hout ceasing that our eyes may be opened to behold this Light\, that we ma
 y walk in it\, and then be made wise unto salvation by faith in Jesus Chri
 st.</p>\n
