 n<p>The majesty and beauty of Isaiah's themes contain many prophetic glimp
 ses of the coming messianic kingdom.<br />\nHe gives the fullest and most 
 precise exposition of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be found anywhere in t
 he Old Testament. Like the epistle to the Romans in the New Testament\, Is
 aiah serves as a summary of the great doctrines of the pre-Christian age. 
 He treats almost every foundational theme in the gamut of theology. Specia
 l emphasis is given to the doctrine of God\, in His omnipotence\, His omni
 science\, and His redemptive love. As opposed to the imaginary gods of the
  idol-worshippers\, He reveals Himself as the one true God\, the sovereign
  Creator of the universe\, who ordains all the events in history according
  to His master plan. To demonstrate the authority and inspiration of His W
 ord\, He remarkably fulfills the predictions made by His prophets long ago
 . He upholds the moral law and brings judgment upon all ungodly nations\, 
 including the wealthiest and most powerful among them\, consigning them to
  eternal ruin.</p>\n<p>The 53rd chapter of Isaiah contains probably the mo
 st transparent and whole exposition of the sacrificial sufferings of Chris
 t in substitution for our sins to be found anywhere in the Bible\, includi
 ng the New Testament. The book begins with a painful depiction of the sinf
 ul\, lost condition of the people\, but ends in the triumphant creation of
  the new heavens and new earth.</p>\n<p>Isaiah was a man of wealth\, statu
 s\, and knowledge. He is believed to be the one mentioned in Hebrews 11:37
 \, who was \"sawn asunder\" by those who rejected his prophetic ministry i
 n anger. He possessed the wisdom of the Lord during a time when formalism 
 and hypocrisy were widespread.</p>\n<p>The true value of prophecy lies in 
 our focus on a Person\, not just on events. That Person is our Lord Jesus 
 Christ\, who came once to suffer and will come again to reign.</p>\n<p>Man
 y times\, my faith in God has been strengthened by returning to the book o
 f Isaiah.</p>\n<p>Isaiah 40:31 Those who keep waiting for the Lord will re
 new their strength. Then they'll soar on wings like eagles\; they'll run a
 nd not grow weary\; they'll walk and not grow tired.</p>\n
