 ght believe that Jesus is the promised Messiah\, the Savior of sinners\, a
 nd the Son of God\; that\, by this faith\, we might obtain eternal life\, 
 by His mercy\, truth\, and power.</p>\n<p>John states that his specific pu
 rpose in writing was to win people to Christ. Significantly\, the divinely
  inspired method of doing this began with a strong affirmation of the spec
 ial creation of all things by Jesus Christ\, followed by the miracles perf
 ormed by Him\, as well as the evidences of His resurrecion and victory ove
 r death - especially the evidence of the empty tomb (John 20:8) and the po
 st-resurrection appearances (John 20:20). Finally the written Word itself 
 gives abundant evidence of inspiration and thus itself is a strong evidenc
 e (John 20:31)</p>\n<p>May we believe that Jesus is the Messiah\, and beli
 eving\, may we have life through His name.</p>\n
