X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=TEXT/HTML:<p>Psalm 73:25-28 Whom have I in heaven but Yo
u? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside You. My flesh and my
heart fail\, but God is the strength of my heart\, and my portion forever.
</p>\n<p>Psalm 73 is a testimony of Asaph grieving over the prosperity of
the wicked. As he struggles with his anger towards this injustice\, he cri
es out to God for understanding and finds victory over his envy. He begins
to understand God's purpose.</p>\n<p>In the book of Ecclesiastes\, Solomo
n complains that all life is vanity. 1:14 I have seen all the works that a
re done under the sun\; and\, behold\, all is vanity and vexation of spiri
t.</p>\n<p>If you know about Solomon's life\, you know that he had everyth
ing anyone could want in the world. Yet he found that it was all weariness
and vexing to his spirit. He saw all wickedness and misery\; the more he
understood this\, the more he lamented and mourned.</p>\n<p>Realizing that
nothing in this world can truly satisfy is very painful. Draw near to the
One who knows your heart\, knows your every need\, and you will never wan
t for a thankful heart towards Him. To draw near to God is our wisdom\, ho
 nor\, safety\, peace\, and riches.</p>\n<p>There is nothing desirable exce
pt God\; let us desire only Him. All other things must pass away\; let our
hearts abide in Him\, who alone abides forever.</p>\n<p>Turn from the gli
tter of wealth and honor that fascinates to true gold of peace found in th
e presence and love of God.</p>\n<p>\"Whatever weakens your reasoning\, im
pairs the tenderness of your conscience\, obscures your sense of God\, or
takes away your relish for spiritual things\, in short—if anything incre
ases the authority and the power of the flesh over the Spirit\, that to yo
u becomes sin however good it is in itself.” Susanna Wesley</p>\n
