Everlasting Weight of Glory

Everlasting Weight of Glory

January 21, 2025

2 Corinthians 4:17  This light, temporary nature of our suffering is producing for us an everlasting weight of glory, far beyond any comparison.

You have experienced much affliction on your journey through life. You have faced numerous trials, suffering, loss, and disappointment. There will be times when tears will fall. However, God contrasts the afflictions you have endured here with the glory that awaits you in the future. If the afflictions have weighed heavily on your heart, imagine how overwhelming the glory will be when you are finally at home with Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 4:18 because we do not look for things that can be seen but for things that cannot be seen.  For things that can be seen are temporary, but things that cannot be seen are eternal.

Seek to be occupied with the things that are not seen, for they are real and eternal. The things that no human eye has seen are the things that are lasting. When everything that the eye looks upon will have vanished, we shall have Jesus the Messiah,  the Holy Spirit and heaven. We shall have the love of the God the Father, and communion with the people of God for all eternity, when the fleeting shadows of the earth have faded away.
