A Great Love

A Great Love

Philippians 2:5  Let that mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.

Souls are made sweet not by taking the acid fluids out, but by putting something in—a great love, a new Spirit, the Spirit of Christ. Christ, the Spirit of Christ, interpenetrating ours, sweetens, purifies, transforms all. This only can eradicate what is wrong, work a chemical change, renovate and regenerate, and rehabilitate the inner man. Will-power does not change men. Time does not change men. CHRIST DOES. Therefore, “Let that mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.”¹

I see You, O Lord, rescuing me from the briars, lifting me up out of the mire and then holding me close,
my Comfort and strength. Help me to keep these pictures forever in my sight, forever in my understanding, and forever in my ways.

  • Whenever you feel insignificant, remember how important you are to God.
  • We love God because we know who He is. God loves us despite who we are.
  • Be teachable every day when it comes to love.
  • Love yourself as the unique individual that God created you to be - nothing more, nothing less.
  • Unconditional love comes only from our Heavenly Father.
  • God does not help us because we deserve it, He helps us because He loves us.
  • Find your self-worth in God's love for you, not in your accomplishments.
  • The love of God has no limits.
  • The reason we can love God is because He loved us first.
  • His unconditional love for us should motivate us to love others unconditionally.
  • Love isn't an option; we are commanded by God to love others.
  • Loving God is the greatest thing I can do.
