Say Goodbye to Last Week
Obama on Sixty Minutes - President Obama wrapped up his whirl wind tv tour on Sixty Minutes last Sunday night wielding his silver-tongued political novice by answering tough questions by lying, dodging and talking out of both sides of his mouth giving people on both sides the impression that he agrees with them. We were all enlightened on his true understanding of what Guantanamo Bay is/was all about -
“After all these years, how many convictions came out of Guantanamo? How many terrorists have actually been brought to justice under the philosophy that is being promoted by Vice President Cheney? It hasn’t mad us safer…”
Ooops… the purpose for Gitmo is to hold captured terrorists, to keep them from killing more Americans, and for interrogations to gain information.
During the week we found out that some of these detainees may be planted here in our own country and possibly be given welfare.

I’m still trying to figure this one out but it’s important to me because one of my sons will probably end up in Afghanistan on his next tour of duty. It seems that President Obama wants to de-emphasize priority of democracy in Afghanistan - - but it all just sounds like a bunch of word/phrase changes just to make sure that this administration is completely different from Bush’s. Change “flourishing democracy” to “stability and human rights.” Change ” system of government” to “open sanctuary” and “open safe haven inside of Afghanistan.”
So I’m looking forward to seeing how this change of wording is actually carried out in actions. Unfortunately Obama’s policy had already begun to unravel. A suicide bomber blew himself up in a mosque located in the Kyber region near the Pakiston-Afghan border- - 170 dead and a mosque completely destroyed. It just so happens that there is evidence that the attack was the work of Tehrik e Taliban, a deadly Islamist group which is one of the “moderate Taliban” that entered into an agreement in Swat Valley. A moderate terrorist must be like a moderate Nazi!

Economy - Changing words and using new math, Obama stated “This plan will provide a tax cut to 95 percent of all working families that will appear in people’s paychecks by April 1st.” But is this really true? Not really. Enjoy your extra $13 a week, middle class. LOL Using the word “investments” instead of increases in government spending - Obama believes that this massive new federal spending and control of the health, education and energy will lead to better economic growth. But his math is hardly ambitious considering how much we’ll be in debt in 4 years.

National Health Care - Daniel Hannan, Member of European Parliament who caused quite a stir calling out Prime Minister Gordon Brown, had this to say to Sean Hannity about National Health care: “The worse thing is for you as the recipient of health care because you’ve got no control over what you get. There’s no contractual relationship between you and the suppliers, so, youknow, if they treat you today or next week or six weeks from now, where it’s too late because your condition has already deteriorated.”
