My Cup of Tea – Fueling the Fire
I’m struggling to understand why I’m considered a racist, redneck and unhealthy for protesting a big spending government at a local tea party. The response from those who opposed our protests were shocking to someone like me who hasn’t been to any protest rally since a pro life gathering in the 80’s.
So why the big stink? Don’t they know that name calling is the beginning of racism? And don’t they know that their harsh opinions towards us and their belittling of our disgruntlements only fuel the fire in us to look for more ways to protest the path our government leaders have set us on? We will look for more ways to protest again and again and again because we know that, in our *free* country we are allowed to do so and our grievances are worthy to be heard and recognized.
These anti tea party people should learn a lesson from our “listening” President. Just as he shook hands and exchanged pleasantries with Hugo Chavez, those who had such harsh words for our protest should embrace Obama’s “new era of partnership” and try to get along.
