Humility

not proud or arrogant; modest; courteously respectful; to make meek; unpretending, unpretentious; unassuming; polite.

Freedom from a sense of one's own importance, with honest concern for others and personal dependence on God, makes humility one of the most mentioned and encouraged of Christian virtues.
          Revell Bible Dictionary

The Christian vrtue of humility affects relationships with others as well as reflects personal dependence on God. The humble person is not concerned with his or her prestige. The Hebrew term for humility originally described persons who were economically and socially powerless. The poor call upon God because He is their only hope. The wealthy and powerful become arrogant and depend not on God but on their social status.
