Thou wilt show me the path of life; in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11
When we come to the Lord Jesus we tell Him that we are willing for Him to choose our path of life because He knows best. That means that whatever happens in our lives (illness, sorrow, or disappointments) shouldn't cause us to grumble. We will just know that He is close beside us and we shall be happy because happiness doesn't depend on what we've got or where we are. Real, true, lasting happiness comes from living close to the Lord and being like Him.
There is no better or safer path for us to follow than the one laid before us by God Himself!
