Safe Haven
is a compilation of Bible studies I've put together over the years
as I've walked on my "path of life" (Psalm 16:11). As
a homeschooling mother of 11 and wife to Charles for 27 years, I've
had many opportunities to grow in the Lord. The paths have not always
been ones that I would choose to go down on my own, but as I look
back I can see God's wisdom and faithfulness in each step.
My
children have been my inspiration over the years and I'm in awe
at what God is doing in each of their lives. We have always been
idealistic about how our life should be lived and while some psychologists
would have a problem with that, our ideals have been what keeps
us striving for the best in education, discipline, and character
development for our children. The freedom to homeschool is such
a blessing and should never be taken for granted by any American.
This is the path that we have chosen for raising our children and
this ideal is proving to be a blessing to them as they grow their
wings of independence and begin their own lives' paths.
Freedom
is defined as the quality or state of being free: * the absence
of necessity, coercion, or constraint in choice or action * liberation
from slavery or restraint or from the power of another. What puts
the desire for freedom in our hearts? Most sinners are drawn to
Christ because they begin to see freedom from sin found only in
Jesus' sacrifice on the cross.
The
Bible leads us to that freedom we *all* desire. If we seek Him we
*will* find Him. This brings true joy to our lives. This freedom
is the Haven Christians are blessed to abide in.
Enjoy
life - find adventure on your path!
